Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
I've watched all the extras and was underwhelmed by them. The intros to the characters didn't tell me anything that watching the movies several times hadn't already. The others were dull. I was expecting the deaths of the Rogue One team prior to seeing the movie and yet the extras told me it was mea...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
Vibroblade even GL states he sanctioned people playing in his universe but it was never his vision for his characters. Disney are pulling the popular portions of the EU to woo fans. Javen in a way you are right. It will also comfort you Mags in that Paramount learnt that fans will leave if you stray...

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
Kathleen Kennedy states that Carrie won't appear in Ep 9 as General Leia. She stated that Todd was mistaken. Some media are stating Carrie won't be in as General Leia. Thsi could have given false hope that old footage of Carrie as Princess Leia could have been used but the interview just states Carr...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
I just hope they won't mess too much with Lucas's mythology... They rejected GL ideas for the new trilogy and they have begun to bring in characters from the EU. It's like when Gene Roddenberry died, Paramount felt they had the right to leave Gene's vision behind. When George accepted $4bil for LFL...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
I think that by the end of Ep 9 that the Jedi will evolve into something else. The Jedi code will be perceived in holding back their development. This means more like the EU so attachment is allowed, embracing their emotions, etc.

Leia will appear in Ep9 using unused footage. Todd Fisher has confirmed this as the Fisher family had to give approval for Carrie's image to be used. Good news: There will be no CGI of Leia for the film. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/star-wars-episode-9-carrie-fisher-appear-ix-as-leia...

Re: Ask T-bone
My Star Wars page a day desk block gives me a fact day. If it has told me that a parsec is a unit of time; and Han won the Falcon in a game of sarbacc not sabacc, should I be as frustrated as I am? Haven't they heard of fact checking? Should I be concerned of how many kids / younglings are being led...

Be interesting to see how much of the rules of sabacc, that has been documented in the EU, survives to screen. The randomiser and the suspension field that prevents a card changing has always piqued my interest.

DblDwn, cast your mind back to Ep 2 as it was the Geonosians who created the original plans. I'm sure that Palpatine kept a copy of them. Galen only worked on the disc and getting it to work. The thermal port created to help cool the weapon reactor down. ;) Galen confirmed he wasn't needed but he ma...

Re: Star Wars Rebels
Finally got to see Twin Sins ep. It was ok. I liked the portrayal of Ben as it did remind me of Alec Guiness. Two things bugged me. 1. Ezra and Chopper were able to stay standing in the sand storm. If the wind is that strong, you would be blown off your feet. I can only presume that Ezra used the fo...

Re: Han Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
The back story has been so far that Han won the Falcon in the sabacc game from Lando. Chewie was a slave of the Empire and Han liberated him earning the life debt. Yes GL made those back stories so it would be nice to see them. The questions will Disney rewrite history since the old EU is no longer ...

Han is named after the dog (presumably Jedi dog)
We know it will Han between the ages of 18 to 24, show how he acquired the Falcon (from Lando), and finally how his relationship with Chewie developed.

DblDwn, true Bodhi use "Rogue One" as he is describing what they were able to do in breaking orders. When Han left on a tauntaun, it was because the speeders were still being converted for the cold. Zev Senesca (Rogue Two) took out the speeder the next morning when it was finished and safe...

Re: Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace
I envision Star Wars as book. In 1977, GL gave us the middle of the book and the proceed to the end in eps 5 & 6 (at that time), Then 16 years later he gives us, Ep 1 which is the first few chapters. If you read novels, those chapters are usually where characters are established and aren't as th...

Re: Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith
Actually doctors do acknowledge dying from a broken heart. It usually happens to couples who have had long stable loving relationships and often passes away within a month. The grieving places a strain on the body. The problem with Padme was, she was depicted as a strong willed personality. So the d...
