Justice League- The Snyder Cut 5/5 4 hours was pretty long, but not much different than binging a part 1 and a sequel, I guess. But it was pretty well fleshed out. Top Gun: Maverick 3.5/5 The Midnight Sky 5/5 rewatch: Airport 75 4/5 Airport 77 4/5 Smokey and the Bandit 5/5 for all-out nostalgic fun ...

Re: Live-action: "Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi" *Spoilers allowed*
I've watched each one and enjoyed them, but I feel that watching each episode is like watching a movie of which you've already seen the end of. As you watch the beginning and middle of the film you're feeling anxiety, hesitation, or trouble accepting it, because you don't see how what you're watchin...

Re: Last Television Show Watched
Who has been watching or has watched DC's Legends of Tomorrow, the show about the time-traveling super heroes? Season 2, episode 9, "Raiders of the Lost Art" I loved this episode. The time-travelers show up in 1967 where they encounter George Lucas while still in film school, and inadverte...

Re: Tov's Deep Thought a Day
It's a sad day coming back here and seeing all the tumbleweeds tumbling. "The senate is not what it once was." Palpy's words ring true. I miss the old days, the conversations and the people here. Of course the old senate is gone, all conversations deleted and forgotten with the changover, ...

Re: Last Movie Watched
The Eternals Not fantastic but I enjoyed it. I'm a little bit tired of the same repeat tropes that we see so often: The higher power the heroes are serving turn out to be the bad guys after all. Legends of Tomorrow, The Winter Soldier, Green Lantern (not seen in the film but hinted at the end), etc....

Re: Last Movie Watched
Not to diminish your review or enjoyment of that film, Mags, but I have simply lost all interest in those films. The first Jurassic Park was fantastic, the second one was good, the third one was okay, but I didn't even sit through all of the first Jurassic World film and had no interest in any more....

Live-action: "Star Wars: Lando"
So the Skywalker story is finished. No more. But who would like to see a standalone movie with Lando and that rebel warrior/ex-stormtrooper Jannah, who didn't know where she came from, and Finn (who didn't know where he came from) and Chewie, on the Falcon, searching for their former homes and famil...

Re: "The Mandalorian" Live-Action Series (2019)
It was a hit with my little scifi group and I'm the only one who is described as a big SW fan. Stories had a better SW feel than the ST. For something that can yet string a sentence together 'The Child' is the star and if it leaves hen ratings will drop. It appears inevitable that Disney will final...

Re: Rank the Star Wars Movies
I have no memory of the Ewok shows and I only saw the Clone Wars movie once and aim to rewatch it on Disney Plus ASAP so that I can rank it here. I will not, however, rewatch the Holiday Special for any reason whatsoever.

Knives Out. 5/5 Bloody brilliant. I had a feeling this was going to be an America Herceul Peroit-like mystery and I was spot on right. Fully enjoyable from start to finish. Captivating and funny and very well scripted. Great film. Great film indeed. Never mind for now that Rian Johnson wrote a bad S...

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
Hi guys. I have been avoiding spoilers as much as possible so I don't know if this has been mentioned in this thread. If it has, oops, sorry. We've all seen the clip in the last trailer with the dozens and dozens of Star Destroyers, and I assumed they were joining the First Order fleet. But I just t...

Re: Star Trek - From TOS to Discovery and Beyond
So far,I've only read that it's about the next chapter in Picard's life but what does that mean? Will he be commanding yet another ship, or be an admiral commanding several, or just a retired former officer living back on his family vineyard in France? What about the other members of TNG?

Being that this is a spoilers allowed thread, if you haven't seen the film yet be warned, big spoiler about to be mentioned.... . . . . . . . . . . Maul. So he's alive, and apparently the real boss running Crimson Dawn. Now, I have known about his presence in the Clone Wars show so I wasn't surprise...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
I don't have much time as I'm heading out before work to do some errands, but I wanted to say that as some here know, I was very skeptical of this film and hadn't felt it was necessary to the SW saga as a whole. Unlike Rogue One which added a lot to the story. So ZI went in to this one feeling like ...

I almost hate to say this, that which the prequel haters uttered ad nauseoum aimed at George Lucas, but it's almost nearly true: Ryan Johnson raped my childhood.

I'm not sure I'm going to get the DVD either. It's so strange that I've only seen this flick 2 times in the theater. Hell, I saw TPM over a dozen times in the theaters and it had its faults.

Re: Last Movie Watched
LIfe. It was too much like Alien. I liked it, it had its good points, but I couldn''t not think of the similarities to Alien while watching it, and I was not able to suspend that feeling even the 2nd time watching it last night. But still, on its own it was a well made movie and the acting, script, ...

That's an interesting point of view, Zapp, when you think about it. We've had changes in Bond, Batman, Superman, Obi-Wan, and we've accepted them all for the most part. But yet it seems so much harder with Star Wars.

Okay...I'll see it because it's Star Wars, but I'm still not blown away. I hope that this is more impressive when I see the full movie. But again,. it's Star Wars so I'll see it but Idon't think that this film was necessary. Han's introduction in ANH was perfect as is. Unlike Rogue One which actual...
