Re: Last Movie Watched
I rewatched Brotherhood of the Wolf. Great movie, the cg is also not as bad as I thought it would be and its used sparingly anyway.

Re: Live-action: "Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi" *Spoilers allowed*
Obiwan was the first live-action Disney show since Mandalorian Season 1 that I felt was - for the most part - well executed. The weakest episode was the Fortress Inquisitorius break in, which, while cool at some points, felt somewhat goofy and nonsensical at times. But the last episodes really broug...

Re: Playstation and the Playstation network
Hey MArble Man, I'd enjoy getting a battle lounge going with you and a few other friends I play with regularly. I never see you on. Are you in EU or US? I forgot. I usually can't get on before 10 PM EST / 0200 Zulu. Sorry to just get back to you, SS - I'm in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone. Had a series...

Re: Board Game and Tabletop Discussion
Just updating this thread to plug a few games I've played over the year that have stuck out to me for their fun and intense replayabilty: 6 nimmt! - One of the best simple card games for a group, in which all players are bulls trying to avoid getting branded by any card points. So many times I've na...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
I'm really hoping Luke's final words imply he has finally figured out the truth about the Jedi. Which is (IMO), that they had become too dogmatic in their Code and that they didn't have a perfect bead on the ultimate truth about the Force (which is something KOTOR and other Star Wars media have long...

Re: Board Game and Tabletop Discussion
I have a group of friends who play board games pretty regularly. Lately, we've played Carcassone,Dominion, X-Wing,Star Wars: Armada, and Game of Thrones: Hand of the King. Love Carcassone! And they have an app of it that doesn't suck. I've heard good things about GoT: Hand of the King. The artwork ...

I'm looking into Bang! -- that looks pretty awesome. I would recommend two games: 1. Werewolves of Miller's Hollow - https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/25821/werewolves-millers-hollow Trying to describe the game is ... challenging. But once you're playing it through once or twice then it all click...

Re: What's the last book you read?
The Axe: The Master of Hestviken Vol. 1 by Sigrid Undset A book about the alien, austere, painful world of 13th Century Norway. There is violent vendetta and romance, but the book actually keeps grounded within the reality of historical Norway rather than the vague pseudo-historical settings of genr...

Descender vol 1. Wasn't blown away by the story but pretty start. Art and panel direction is top notch.

Soothscribe Hey MM I sent you a friend request just now Cool I got it SS - should play SFV or MKX sometime. Is Krogenar on PSN too? Also if anyone has Titanfall 2 that's also a lot of fun in multiplayer. And I usually don't get that into FPS multiplayer, but I love the titan combat in that game. Re...

Re: Board Game and Tabletop Discussion
Kapit - I just played Betrayal the other weekend at a friend's birthday. His girlfriend was the betrayer and her dragon deep fried my character in an elevator. The chaos of that game is too much fun, even if they could have been more clear in the directions in some cases. (I do want to get the expan...

Re: Star Wars Rebels
I love the way they handled Thrawn in this show and kept the goodness that made his character an EU favorite (i.e. his cultural art study as a window into the minds of his opponents). I had some issues with the show early on, but it really has grown and the character development is pretty true to St...

Board Game and Tabletop Discussion
If you haven't heard, there is something of a board game renaissance happening these days, growing in community size and diversity. I've been a tabletop rpg gamer for some time and I've done just about everything (D&D, Pathfinder, Shadowrun, GURPs, etc.) and run several campaigns as a DM myself. How...

Re: Last Television Show Watched
We finished The Crown the other day. My wife is a bit of a royalist sympathizer while I'm fairly anti-royalist, so it was interesting to discuss.
I'd say 7/10. Each episode kind of deals with a different problem the royal family is having. John Lithgow is a solid Churchill.
