Leia will appear in Ep9 using unused footage. Todd Fisher has confirmed this as the Fisher family had to give approval for Carrie's image to be used. Good news: There will be no CGI of Leia for the film.

Kathleen Kennedy states that Carrie won't appear in Ep 9 as General Leia. She stated that Todd was mistaken.

Some media are stating Carrie won't be in as General Leia. Thsi could have given false hope that old footage of Carrie as Princess Leia could have been used but the interview just states Carrie won't be in 9.

Below links to a clip showing Kathleen's interview on this.

Anyone else thinking that #9 might be called Return of the Sith?

That, or "Icks"?

I find it difficult to be happy about the sequel trilogy right now because...Porgs.

Look like the inbred offspring of Ewoks and penguins.

Do we have a "shoot me now" smiley? I can't even find a chin-scratch smiley. :(

Porgs are God's gift to Humanity. The only pure and positive light in an otherwise dark and horrifying world.

I'm waiting to find out the Porg's twist. Everyone thinks of Ewoks as cute but they are vicious. Ewoks had planned to cook and eat Han, Luke and Chewie. I like Ewoks.

Porgs look cute and sound a little like turkeys mixed with penguins.

I mean, he's still a better choice than Michael Bay or even Trevorrow, but still....

It's frustrating because everything they've done since Force Awakens screams of circling the wagons. They hire all these young up and comers for a new perspective, then for whatever reason they're let go and "reliable" (read: safe) directors/writers come in to take over. It's disappointing.

So we get another Ep 6 from JJ. Who do they put in the metal bikini? Rey or Finn?

If it's anyone but Rey, and I don't get wind of it ahead of time, I'm bolting from the theater.

Frankly, though Daisy Ridley's a pretty girl, I'm not sure she's right for the metal bikini.

Horrible thought: With the remaking and the mirroring and duplicating...

What if they put one on Hamill?

I really, really need that barfing smiley now. Really!

Don't tell me. Let me guess. You're being held at Skywalker Ranch and they're forcing you to post that, right?

Or your account has been hacked, right?

RIght?

The entire universe can't have gone mad, can it? Can it?

Ewoks aren't vicious, they're evil[/i. Between them, those self-propelled, quasi-sentient bathmats and the snot-drenched minions of Jabba's palace did most of the ruining of ROTJ.

Well, we knew it was going to be bad, didn't we? Now we know how bad, and how much to lower our expectations. Now, if you'll pardon me, I don't have a basement, so I'm going to have to excavate to accommodate the lowering, and the backhoe takes a little while to warm up.

Hahahaha, no, nothing like that. Part of it is just me being contrarian - there's an obvious marketing angle to them and it's hard to ignore that.

But I also just find them to be adorable.

They should've held onto that decision until after TLJ released. If VIII gets high positive feedback, then give it to Rian Johnson.
