As-it-was-transmitted, probably...

A bit of news programming this morning, on Fox, might have had Neil Cavuto in it.

Otherwise, Doctor Who, fourth season Episode "Blink," from disk.

A few episodes of Rawhide followed by a few episodes of the third season of Grace and Frankie on Netflix. I've always liked Lily Tomlin and Sam Waterstone was great in I'll Fly Away.

I don't think I knew you were "Walking Dead". I'm behind a season or two.

How's "Into the Badlands"? Looks good from the tv previews.

I came to The Walking Dead rather recently. Started watching new episodes only...in Season Six, I think it was (or maybe it was Season Five...). I'd seen it advertised long before that, and caught fragments here and there in search of other programming, but I didn't pursue it. Most often it seemed I'd catch part of the Season One finale, in the CDC, and I finally broke down and watched that one all the way through. Then I got hold of the pilot...and, I haven't looked back. That said, I'm not having as much fun with it as I did in the earlier seasons, for reasons I won't go into in details about since you're not caught up. Suffice it to say that I think they're having having some trouble because of the constraints production places on the story.

Now, Into the Badlands--have you seen Season One? I can wholehearted recommend it. Just six episodes, really quite entertaining. A different post-apocalyptic scenario, plenty of martial arts action. Good pacing. Good performances. Interesting mysteries. Reminds me a lot of Firefly. Without the space travel. If you've already seen Season One, well, then you know that much. Season Two, so far (two episodes in), is doing a pretty good job of extending the successes of the first season. I'm actually finding it more entertaining than The Walking Dead at this point.

I've started watching Humans. Season 1 on BluRay. Not a bad little program.

Tonight, I watched Elementary, the episode that aired last night, via the magic of iTunes. The episode itself wasn't all that magical though, unless the power to induce sleep is magical. I shall have to rewatch the last few minutes of it when I get the chance.

We finished The Crown the other day. My wife is a bit of a royalist sympathizer while I'm fairly anti-royalist, so it was interesting to discuss.

I'd say 7/10. Each episode kind of deals with a different problem the royal family is having. John Lithgow is a solid Churchill.

Watched the first episode of Comic Book Men.

As much as I like all the guys on it (I'm a huge TESD fan), an hour is about 30 minutes too long for this show. Glad they shortened it after the first season.

The X-Files, Episode 1.12 (I think), "Fire." Not my favorite first season episode, but, I'm trying to watch the whole season, so there's no avoiding it. Better than most new programming, even so. Thank the Maker I plunked for the DVDs, way back when.

Star Trek: Enterprise

It's goofy, and not really that great, but it has charm.

What it mainly had going for it was Hoshi Sato.

The rest...should have been court-martialed for wasting my time.

And the ship was passable. Though it did make the original NCC-1701 look like the odd man out in the design evolution of starships.

I love Captain Bakula! It feels like he's in a completely different show from the rest of the cast and for some reason I like that.

Plus he has a beagle. Any captain willing to bring their beloved dog out on an exploration mission like that deserves a ton of respect in my eyes.

Definitely seems they took a cue from the prequels, design-wise. While it's nice that everything looks better it really doesn't mesh with what comes next at all.

Hmm. Captain Archer...always seemed out of his depth and way too indecisive. He had no inner Kirk.

Captain Basset Hound and the beagle...I don't think taking a confining a pup on a ship like that makes a lot of sense, especially at that stage of development in interstellar flight. I'd lean more toward thinking he endangered the innocent quadruped. On the other hand, the beagle was smarter, braver and more appealing than Archer, which would probably have been a tremendous asset to the mission, had they ever let the beagle lead.

The last thing I watched was...

A little bit of The Five.

Watched a bunch of episodes of Match Game and Family Feud today. Why were 70s/80s game shows so much better than the shit we have today?

Another blast from The X-Files past, episode 13 (I thinik), Season One: "Beyond the Sea."

Not too bad, really, and superior to anything on any cable channel I get.
