What is everyone watching?

I have watched the first seasons of The OA and Stranger Things each twice.

Other Original Series I watch:
Orange is the New Black
Grace and Frankie
Haters Back Off
Sense8
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Santa Clarita Diet

We are halfway through The Iron Fist and we are siding with the critics (badly written and performed) on this one, though we half to finish watching, we are too invested in the fluffy story.

I still need to finish The Crown and start Daredevil and Luke Cage.

I don't watch as much as I used to, so lately it's just been Star Trek: Enterprise because it's easy viewing that I don't have to fully pay attention to.

I generally like the Marvel shows, but Iron Fist held zero interest for me before the critical backlash so I'm just gonna skip it.

Love (haven't started on the second season yet)

Does Marco Polo get better? We tried watching that and couldn't get into it.

No, i don't think so. I watched both seasons and the second season was even worse than the first. I wasn't surprised when I read that Netflix canceled it.

The Force told me not to watch Marco Polo. ;)

Oh Mags, you have to watch The OA!!!

Iron Fist is the Dogma rubber poo monsters of the Marvel MCU. A hoohah of terrible gibberish almost saved by the fact David Wenham is in on the joke.

Bloodline. A nice way to unwind from speculative fiction with Florida based family angst; also the show where Director Krennic won his Emmy.

Les Revanants (The Returned for you silly anglo-saxons). Sexy zombie-esque show set in a provincial French town. Great stuff. Do not touch the 'Merican remake. Embrace the subtitles.

Over at Amazon Prime:

Transparent. This show makes me laugh, cry, and feel disgusted at the same time. Tis a rare site to see people approach Louis C.K. level of pathetic.

The Man in the High Castle. Please stop making jackboots and kempeitai suits look sexy.

Over at Hulu:

Fargo. I thought riffing on the Coen Brothers was a preparation for immense failure. I was wrong.

Legion. My name is Legion for we are many. Perhaps the best superhero television show.

The Path. Jesse from Breaking Bad escapes not-Scientology created by David Bowman/the Star Child/not-L. Ron Hubbard. For the win.

^ Great!

Finished Iron Fist.... To steal a line from the show, it's "all stick and no carrot."

I haven't been watching anything regularly, so I'm way behind.

Still have to watch the most recent season of "House of Cards."

I've seen both seasons of Daredevil, but have yet to have started any of the others.

Next thing I watch on there will probably be a movie. Likely, Mulholland Drive.

The shows I've watched and enjoyed:
The Clone Wars
Voltron
Stranger Things
House of Cards (this one fell off my radar around S4.5)
Transformers Prime
Ancient Aliens....guilty pleasure
Jessica Jones
Death Note ( amazing anime series)
Aldnoah Zeoh

And on Crunchy Roll:
Erased....can't recommend this show enough!!!
Naruto Shippuden (can't seem to get into this)
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Captain Harlock...the old school anime series

First post on the NEW Galactic Sentate! WooHoo!!!

Anyways, for me...
- Daredevil
- Jessica Jones
- Luke Cage
- Sigh....Iron Fist....like pretty much everyone else who watched it, I cannot find much redeeming value in this show. SO far below the quality of the previous Marvel shows, and I wasn't even that crazy about Luke Cage, either.

So, I finished The OA. It was a bit weird and a few things made me go "oookaay", but overall, I liked it. The acting was top-notch as was the pacing. It may not be for everyone, but I certainly recommend it. The last episode was truly a payoff! Looking forward to the second season!

Glad you liked it, Magnus. Definitely weird, but well written. Really looking forward to season 2, too!!! :ugeek:

I watched Kubo and the Two Strings with my son yesterday, visually impressive, but slightly predictable....for me. Not so much for my son who at first wasn't into it but by the end wanted to watch it a second time.
Kubo might be a little scary children 5 and under.

I can see that. Not knowing much about it, I took my 3 year old daughter to see it in theaters and I think i got pretty lucky that she didn't get frightened. There is some fairly scary imagery, and it didn't affect her at all.

I loved Kubo, but you guys are right, it could be scary for little ones.

Netflix Season 2 of Sense8! OMG I adore this show. Very adult!

I have also watched some of the leaked Orange is the New Black that is floating around out there online. It will be on Netflix June, 9.

Watched Blame last night, visually it wasn't bad, the color pallet and character design reminded me of Knights of Sidonia, but thankfully without the creepy elastic alien phallic creature! I really wasn't able to get emotionally vested in any of the characters, and the environment was too similar to KoS for me to say this is refreshing and new.
I did nod off twice during it so I'll give Blade another viewing but my initial impression is Blame is forgettable.

One thing that annoys me is that Netflix in Sweden (I don't know what's it like in other areas) mostly adds lousy stand-up shows and artist biography movies/documentaries and not that many movies or television series.

In the 80's, my family had one television set and one of the shows the family watched was Anne of Green Gables based on L M Montgomery's novels. I noticed that a new adaptation, Anne with an E, had been created by Netflix and CBC. I thought I'd watch the pilot as I really didn't think it could match the old adaptation. It didn't but I rather liked the pilot so I watched the rest of the episodes. I'm not a fan of some of the creative decisions made but all in all it was decent. I'll watch the second season (if there will be one).

I'm currently watching the second season of Love. I really like Judd Apatow's shows and this certainly isn't an exception.

Watched the fifth and latest season of Orange is the New Black over the weekend. Not the best season but it had its moments.
