Re: Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back

That's why Luke spent so long hiding out at Ahch-To so he didn't have to pay back the lost of his X-Wing   Luke would have had to debrief after Bespin. I'm sure that Leia would confirm that as Luke was injured he was unable to retrieve his ship from an Imperial occupied Bespin. She was...

Re: "The Mandalorian" Live-Action Series (2019)

I presume Mandalorian will give The Child a name this season and then we find out it's real name in the final season. They won't get to the planet until near the last episode ever so definitely not this season.

Re: "The Mandalorian" Live-Action Series (2019)

The Child has a name. Sam Hargrave who is a 2nd unit director on the show has confirmed he knows the name. Speculation is around whether it will be revealed in Season 2. I wonder if it is a name given to him or his name at birth. https://collider.com/the-mandalorian-season-2-action-sam-hargrave-inte...

Re: Rank the Star Wars Movies

Take your time Mags, my curiosity won't kill me. Yes Rogue One is the only SW film that Disney has got right. I think it is because to make it fit with ANH, they had to use similar production values, as well as deleted scenes from it. Maybe had they did the same with ST then they might have been bet...

I'm curious Mags. If you say in your first list that it's really a tie between ESB and ROTS, then how does Rogue One split them in the second list (unless it's a three way tie)?

Re: Project Luminous / The High Republic

instead of dinosaurs they should have referenced dragons (ie krayt dragons). Possibly the dragons is where they thought jedi being like knight of the round table. Could how the dragon bones shown in Ep4 be explained in a story of a jedi 'fearing' the dragon and killing it to protect the locals?

Re: Project Luminous / The High Republic

A new series of books and comics to start to rewrite SW's past. There hasn't been much at all covering this period before. To mention it was a blank slate is wrong as it is only because of Disney making the old novels "Legends" that caused this. Concentrating on the jedi means we will see ...

There is now a delay in this series as they search for a new writer / new scripts (a familar problem with SW now). Also the series appears to have been shorten from 6 to 4 episodes. Shooting is reportedly now January 2021. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/obi-wan-kenobi-series-hold-as-c...

Re: "The Mandalorian" Live-Action Series (2019)

Considering the instruction left at the end of the last ep, LFL has to balance keeping the mystery but feeding the story line. The first season was all out protecting the child and it appears the second is to reunite the child with its species. The average fan doesn't have the patience and doesn't r...

Re: "The Mandalorian" Live-Action Series (2019)

It was a hit with my little scifi group and I'm the only one who is described as a big SW fan. Stories had a better SW feel than the ST. For something that can yet string a sentence together 'The Child' is the star and if it leaves hen ratings will drop. It appears inevitable that Disney will finall...

Did Palpatine have to come back so they prove how Skywalker will rise from the death? Maybe Luke was never dead as no mechanical hand was left. If they can bring back Maul and Sidious, then it is time they balanced the Force and brought back one from the Light side.

The resistance was shown leaving Crait using the Falcon and it did land without any challenge. We all know well the Falcon has avoided capture over the years. Mags, I know that the planet Endor is a gas giant. Most of the characters over the years don't say Endor's Moon/s (neither does the OS). Season 2 hasn't even been release yet but I believe they only planned to have two seasons. I think it is because of it being about one spy mission.
