I'm considering adding a new addition to the Hive of Scum and Villainy bar, a more convenient means for our drinkers to sit and drink without interruption. What do you guys think of this new and innovative addition?

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
I saw TLJ again today. As I expected, now knowing what to expect and not being affected by the letdowns of the first time, I enjoyed it more than I did the first time. It was a good movie. It was not a great Star Wars movie. It was a good SW movie, not a great one. I enjoyed it. I was not blown away...

Oh...and I must correct what I said. They did not put a stent "in my heart", they put it in the main artery where it goes into the heart. Which may be considered the same thing or close enough, but that's what they did.
And now I'm almost right as rain again.

Re: Tov's Deep Thought a Day
I've been through some changes, Badly. Moved to Texas. I even went and had a heart attack and almost died back in June, can you believe that? I spent five days in the hospital and had a stent put into my heart, and since then I've changed my diet radically and started working out 3 to 4 times a week...

Re: Last Movie Watched
I was definitely underwhelmed but I don't hate it either. I did love TFA, I left the theater filled with excitement and nostalgia all over again back in 2015. But this time I left...in want of something more. Like I said, I was underwhelmed. However I'm going to see it again, and the 2nd time knowin...

Well since we're going to play that game, you once sent me the soundtrack to a particular sci-fi show we both remember enjoying from childhood. Do you recall the show?

Re: Last Movie Watched
The Last Jedi. The strangest of the Star Wars films for me. I need to see it again. Your very first post on this board, or rather the prior version of this board, was to express your hatred of Episode II and I as well. Now this one you say you need to see it again? Did you like it old man, or not s...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
Another character underused was Maz Kanata. She was established in TFA as being at least 1000 years old, having a long history and vast knowledge behind her. She gave a very interesting and profound speech in TFA about the evils of the past rising again and the need to stand up to it. And in this mo...

Survey: The truth about Rey's parents... The truth spoken by Kylo, or a lie to confuse and/or sway her? It's the truth and the cave scene even furthers that truth. Her being a nobody is more profound than her being a Skywalker, Solo, Kenobie, Emperor's clone and other crazy theories. Kylo is being ...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
Luke told Rey that Ben had killed all the students except for five that he took with him. I assume that is the Knights of Ren, who should take on a larger role in Episode IX, I hope. Luke was somewhat underused in this, but he was already established from the OT. Snoke and Phasma were both new char...

Vibroblade? Now that's a name I have not heard in a long time...a long time. Your assessment is pretty much the same as mine. Aside from leaving out the original characters though. But I would have done it very differently. I wanted to see Luke be a serious participant in Rey's training and the war ...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
Would it be legitimate to say that Luke was vastly underused as well? My biggest disappointment with TFA was its underusing of Luke, and his lack of screen time and dialogue. This film gave us an entirely unexpected evolution of Luke Skywalker and his path on that island took too long to bring him b...

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi Yes, I felt like I had to start with the full title despite what fans all of us are here, because I wanted to remind myself of what it was that I saw this afternoon. Yes, I enjoyed it. No, I was not blown away by it. It underwhelmed and fell short where it shoul...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
These Twitter reviews for The Last Jedi, all short and sweet and completely devoid of spoilers, read as phenomenal. Did I post earlier in this thread, much earlier, that I was devoid of excitement and that nothing I had seen had so far impressed me in the lead-up to the film? Never mind all of that....
