Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

While I don't think that Lucas had everything planned out (making Leia into Luke's sister sure wasn't thought out until ROTJ), I still think that he tied the movies within the Original Trilogy quite well. The Prequels lacks somewhat in execution, but storywise it's good and ties in well with the OT....

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I think it could still have worked and been better than the silly, out-of-place scene we got with Maz:

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

On another topic: Has there been any discussion on Force ghost Yoda bringing down the lightning that burned down the tree? If Force ghosts can interact with the physical world like that, couldn't Yoda or Kenobi have taken out Vader or Sidious at some point, or in some way struck against the bad guy...

Re: Last Movie Watched

The last movie I saw is still The Last Jedi . In short, I didn't like it very much. Strange character choices, awful plot, stupidities, disjointed, doesn't mesh with TFA, some of the worst alien designs and animatronics of Star Wars, terrible so-called "humor"and changing the rules. But it has Porgs...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Is anyone else actually pissed about this movie? It was garbage in my opinion. The whole movie was about the fleet running out of gas, and Admiral Purple-Hair whatsherface's plan was apparently, "let's just let everyone else get lit up and maybe we'll make it." All Luke did was act like a [expletiv...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Perhaps I should be a bit more clear about the things I liked about the movie... Mark Hamill's, Carrie Fishers and Daisy Ridley's performances John Williams's score The old friend The Porgs! Love the Porgs! Some aspects of Canto Bight as a setting Snoke ordering Kylo Ren to remove his "ridiculous he...

Re: Spoilers: So what is the situation in the galaxy?

Thanks to the incredibly poor worldbuilding in TFA and TLJ we know next to nothing. The galaxy just seem to have rolled over to the FO that somehow have enough forces to subdue the entire galaxy (I'm not buying the crapiola from Battlefront 2 that mentions "thousands" of stormtroopers which of cours...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Does that mean that it was good? Unfortunately no. Upon my first viewing I have to say that there are things to like, quite a few things not to like a few things that the filmmakers had forgotten about since TFA as there's a serious continuity error (the Knights of Ren seems to have been completely...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I don't want to influence anyone's opinion before they see it, or bring them down, but no. I really really didn't like it. I can't say that about any of the other movies. Even the prequels had something redeeming about them - an element of the story at a minimum. Thanks! :) I'm staying away from sp...

Binged Stranger Things season 2 over the weekend. Despite slowing down in the middle and having one episode that just didn't fit, this series continues to be a ton of fun. I also binged the second season this weekend, from Friday to Saturday. :) Yes, I guess which episode you're referring to, but i...
