Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

I've watched it on Blu-Ray three times in less than a week. Love Rogue One ! When I saw one of the TV-spots for ROTS, the one with Yoda saying "Twisted by the Dark Side young Skywalker has become", I was certain the wonderfully tragic piece of music in the TV-spot was for the scene when Anakin/Vader...

Re: Star Wars Rebels

Of course, they would need something to stop the clone aging process... If my math is right, wouldn't that be almost 40 years since his creation, which theoretically would mean he's physically around 80 at that point correct? As nice an idea as it is that seems like a stretch. Almost, 36 years whic...

Re: Star Wars Rebels

Rex won't be killed off (it's more or less official that he's the bearded guy in ROTJ), but as far as the others go... Wait, WHAT?! WHEN?! HOW?!?!?! Well, it isn't canon yet, but it has been out there for some time that Filoni considers the bearded older guy (who dons the Scout Trooper uniform) to ...

Re: Star Wars Rebels

I truly think the series should end with Vader killing Ezra. There are certainly other endings that could be fulfilling but to end with Vader striking down Ezra and Kaanan would be the truest to the character and most powerful ending possible IMHO. That would lead into Rebels perfectly. The Jedi th...

Re: Star Wars Rebels

I missed the announcement that the season would be shortened to 15 episodes. That sucks. I bet they still charge full price on iTunes for the season. Ratings must be down. I thought Rebels actually had a fairly loyal audience but I haven't been watching the Nielsen numbers recently. Filoni mentione...

The fourth season is indeed the last season as per Filoni at Celebration. It's also a short season with 15 episodes.

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I just hope they won't mess too much with Lucas's mythology... They rejected GL ideas for the new trilogy and they have begun to bring in characters from the EU. It's like when Gene Roddenberry died, Paramount felt they had the right to leave Gene's vision behind. When George accepted $4bil for LFL...

I think that by the end of Ep 9 that the Jedi will evolve into something else. The Jedi code will be perceived in holding back their development. This means more like the EU so attachment is allowed, embracing their emotions, etc.

Anyone else think the shot of Phasma and the troopers walking through the debris is after the hangar explosion with Poe and BB-8? Could mirror "Imperial Troops have entered the base......" from Empire.
Yes, it appears to be the same (or similar) hangar.

It sounds as if it's both! The dialogue seems to have been spliced together.

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

The crazy looking ships skimming across the red sand are A-Wings. Ithink the planet is called Crait. Btw, Rian Johnson likes the Prequels, so I think there will be a mixture of PT and OT things in it. Yes, it's Crait. Rian mentioned it (and the name and purpose of the planet apparently leaked some ...

Another thing: Is there any substance to the assertion I've seen made that Samuel L. Jackson made video appearance at Celebration, in which he said, "Mace Windu is not dead"?
No, he said something to the effect that he wants to return as an older Mace Windu with prosthetic limbs.

So, I finished The OA. It was a bit weird and a few things made me go "oookaay", but overall, I liked it. The acting was top-notch as was the pacing. It may not be for everyone, but I certainly recommend it. The last episode was truly a payoff! Looking forward to the second season!

From what little I've seen of her on The Walking Dead she seems perfectly capable. I wouldn't mind if the rumors of her being the lead are true. Would they really give Jason Isaacs, as captain, more of a secondary role? Yes. The people behind the show have stated that the captain isn't the lead cha...
