Re: Last Movie Watched

LIfe. It was too much like Alien. I liked it, it had its good points, but I couldn''t not think of the similarities to Alien while watching it, and I was not able to suspend that feeling even the 2nd time watching it last night. But still, on its own it was a well made movie and the acting, script, ...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

That's an interesting point of view, Zapp, when you think about it. We've had changes in Bond, Batman, Superman, Obi-Wan, and we've accepted them all for the most part. But yet it seems so much harder with Star Wars.

No, I thought so too.
I'm pretty sure it was indeed her. Nice continuity with her relationship with Han in TFA.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Okay...I'll see it because it's Star Wars, but I'm still not blown away. I hope that this is more impressive when I see the full movie. But again,. it's Star Wars so I'll see it but Idon't think that this film was necessary. Han's introduction in ANH was perfect as is. Unlike Rogue One which actual...

I'm considering adding a new addition to the Hive of Scum and Villainy bar, a more convenient means for our drinkers to sit and drink without interruption. What do you guys think of this new and innovative addition?

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I saw TLJ again today. As I expected, now knowing what to expect and not being affected by the letdowns of the first time, I enjoyed it more than I did the first time. It was a good movie. It was not a great Star Wars movie. It was a good SW movie, not a great one. I enjoyed it. I was not blown away...

Oh...and I must correct what I said. They did not put a stent "in my heart", they put it in the main artery where it goes into the heart. Which may be considered the same thing or close enough, but that's what they did.

And now I'm almost right as rain again.

I've been through some changes, Badly. Moved to Texas. I even went and had a heart attack and almost died back in June, can you believe that? Another character underused was Maz Kanata. She was established in TFA as being at least 1000 years old, having a long history and vast knowledge behind her. She gave a very interesting and profound speech in TFA about the evils of the past rising again and the need to stand up to it. And in this mo...

Luke told Rey that Ben had killed all the students except for five that he took with him. I assume that is the Knights of Ren, who should take on a larger role in Episode IX, I hope. Luke was somewhat underused in this, but he was already established from the OT. Snoke and Phasma were both new char...
