Re: Han Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Creative differences cited for losing Lord and Miller. This is code for fights with Kathleen Kennedy. I've heard the media described Lord and Miller as "risk takers" while Ron Howard as sticking to script. Jokes floating around is there will now be a character call Opie Wan Kenobi and Han Solo to we...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Mags, I wonder if it is an alternative fact. They had to know who Rey & Finn's parents are. Why Luke went to the first Jedi temple?

Alternatively they fact they basically rehashed ANH and called it TFA would show no vision.

Did Rian flick through GL's vision for the ST for insight for Ep 8?

Re: Star Wars Celebration Orlando, April 13-16, 2017

Not sure what happened to Wedge, Ewan may have had prior engagements. As for Natalie, she hates Star Wars. She claims it almost ruined her career. Considering Natalie Portman only had a child recently I didn't expect her to be there. As I mentioned earlier, Denis Lawson aka Wedge was there. Here is...

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

I've watched all the extras and was underwhelmed by them. The intros to the characters didn't tell me anything that watching the movies several times hadn't already. The others were dull. I was expecting the deaths of the Rogue One team prior to seeing the movie and yet the extras told me it was mea...

Vibroblade even GL states he sanctioned people playing in his universe but it was never his vision for his characters. Disney are pulling the popular portions of the EU to woo fans. Javen in a way you are right. It will also comfort you Mags in that Paramount learnt that fans will leave if you stray...

Kathleen Kennedy states that Carrie won't appear in Ep 9 as General Leia. She stated that Todd was mistaken. Some media are stating Carrie won't be in as General Leia. Thsi could have given false hope that old footage of Carrie as Princess Leia could have been used but the interview just states Carr...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I just hope they won't mess too much with Lucas's mythology... They rejected GL ideas for the new trilogy and they have begun to bring in characters from the EU. It's like when Gene Roddenberry died, Paramount felt they had the right to leave Gene's vision behind. When George accepted $4bil for LFL...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I think that by the end of Ep 9 that the Jedi will evolve into something else. The Jedi code will be perceived in holding back their development. This means more like the EU so attachment is allowed, embracing their emotions, etc.

My Star Wars page a day desk block gives me a fact day. If it has told me that a parsec is a unit of time; and Han won the Falcon in a game of sarbacc not sabacc, should I be as frustrated as I am? Be interesting to see how much of the rules of sabacc, that has been documented in the EU, survives to screen. The randomiser and the suspension field that prevents a card changing has always piqued my interest.

DblDwn, cast your mind back to Ep 2 as it was the Geonosians who created the original plans. I'm sure that Palpatine kept a copy of them. Galen only worked on the disc and getting it to work. Finally got to see Twin Sins ep. It was ok. I liked the portrayal of Ben as it did remind me of Alec Guiness. Two things bugged me. 1. Ezra and Chopper were able to stay standing in the sand storm. The back story has been so far that Han won the Falcon in the sabacc game from Lando. Chewie was a slave of the Empire and Han liberated him earning the life debt. April 5 for Oz. Since I've preorder the 2 bluray disc version, I'm given a extra dvd with 10 mins of specials. Probably ties in with a promo in the US.
