Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Mags, we hear Palpy's laugh in the teaser so either his presence has completed Kylo's training or Paly's clone is commanding a group of troopers. There is Knight of Ren who could also be leading them. Remember the Sith would never called themselves troopers as they are more egotistical than that.

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

No it's not. The marketing department was running out ideas of what to call the next toy trooper. It just means they are red and probably commanded by a Sith. Just a mixture of praetorian and trooper.

Yet another desert planet? Whoopee...
Chistopher Eccleston once said when he was asked why Dr Who had a northern accent: "That every planet had a north.". It's the same with deserts, every planet has one.

Re: Benioff and Weiss to Create Series of Star Wars Movies

Considering how disappointed GOT fans were with most of the last season, it will being interesting to see how they write in the SW universe without a book for source material.

Very sad news of the passing of the actor Peter Mayhew who played Chewbacca on 30.04 at his home with his family around him. I had the pleasure of meeting twice. He was nice.We will miss the way he could give so much expression with his eyes and mannerisms while wearing a mask. and all that fur. :ri...

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I think that Palpatine could be a Force Ghost. It is a way of cheating death by living within the Force. JJ consulted Lucas to find out if Sith could learn this ability since Qui Gon appears to be the first Jedi to master this trait. I don't believe Rey is a clone as a clone is usually the same sex ...

Re: What can a scientist in my Star Wars fan fic be working on?

Maybe he can be teaching astronomy. I know it is very "Indy" but for me if you are requesting a character to investigate the quark star then they should be an expert in the field. An alternate field then I and most of the general public are questioning why he is the expert to call on, in an universe...

Mags, it's only a month away so a teaser trailer and "a clip package of behind scenes and quotes" (for attendees) like they have produced for the first two in the ST. If they were going to release a teaser before the con, I would have thought they would have put it with Captain Marvel movie. The lon...

Re: What can a scientist in my Star Wars fan fic be working on?

Welcome to the Senate. In regards to your question, anything that is cool has probably be written about. If your scientist is being called to investigate a black hole then he would need to be an expert of astronomy. Pick something in that field. It is then something a casual fan could relate to. NAS...

There is no mention either way about Ewan's involvement. It does appear that a third series is in production in the UK. I predict that there maybe an announcement about this at SW Celebration in 45 days or so.

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Interesting enough I was at a scifi meeting a couple of months ago and a bootleg trailer was shown for Ep 9 and looking at it I felt it could have been released by LFL. There was footage I hadn't seen. Only problem it was too long to be a teaser.

Yes, that's absolutely true. TFA also broke the rhyming by having a non-Skywalker destroy Starkiller Base (Droid Control Ship - Anakin, Death Star I - Luke, Starkiller Base - Poe).
ROTJ broke this rhyming DS 2 by Lando and Wedge.

The Clone Wars are the best out those options. I sadly have no confidence in JJ making a fantastic Ep 9 as he didn't hire me to consult on the films

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I will see it just to see how they correct the mess they have left the film in. Their plans were changed once Carrie died. Todd Fisher is happy with how they have included her.

There won't be a follow up to Solo as the film bombed which was why they announced the cancellation of the last stand alone.

Mags, I accept why you excluded them. For me, I wanted to ranked every film I seen at the cinema to show where I'd rated the new films. It is a long time since I've seen either ewok movie but my memories of them give me a better feeling than these sequels.
