I've done a set of missions as the Empire (playing with friends) in Imperial Assault.
I keep eyeing that game but the price tag makes it hard to take the leap. Is it worth the cost?

Yes, I wonder what the artist meant with the posters.
I'd guess they're going for the more Western vibe with red, so power, anger/rage, violence, etc.

I've been playing X-Wing when I can find the time and holy crap is the TIE Phantom with "Echo" one of the most exciting things to fly. That ships movement is absolutely bonkers

To be honest I worry that this ends up as another Ant-Man scenario wherein the final product is wildly mediocre.

Re: Last Movie Watched

Alien: Covenant - B Obviously nothing will ever be as good as the first two Alien movies, so it's hard to grade on a comparison to those. Essentially, Covenant built off the basics of Prometheus and attempts to start bridging the gap to the original film. There are some predictable moments and some...

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 - C The more I think about it, the more I really just didn't care for it. While they tried very hard to tell an emotional story it never felt earned because almost every emotional moment was undercut with a joke or a snide comment, like they were too afraid to just let ...

Re: Star Trek - From TOS to Discovery and Beyond

Finally finished Enterprise. I really enjoyed it and don't understand why it's so maligned.

Outside of both awful versions of the theme song, the only thing I disliked is that they didn't give Archer his big speech at the end.

Friggin Riker ruining two shows.

What, he has a special, go-to-confrontations-with-traitors cape? (Also, it still looks like it was made from a bedsheet.)

Actually, yes.

Although it's for bad weather as opposed to traitor confrontation.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Michael Giacchino's scores for the Star Trek movies really didn't do much for me and when I first read that he was to be the composer for R1, I wasn't too excited, but I must say that Giacchino's piece for the most emotional scene in the movie really is beautiful and effective, like most of his sco...

Re: [TV] Impractical Jokers

I've heard that their live shows are a little odd. I wouldn't say it's odd so much as just not that great. They had an opener from Jersey whose whole shtick was playing into gender stereotypes from the 50s. That set a pretty bad tone with the crowd from the start, and then when the guys came out th...

If my math is right, wouldn't that be almost 40 years since his creation, which theoretically would mean he's physically around 80 at that point correct? As nice an idea as it is that seems like a stretch.

Re: Star Wars Rebels

I truly think the series should end with Vader killing Ezra. There are certainly other endings that could be fulfilling but to end with Vader striking down Ezra and Kaanan would be the truest to the character and most powerful ending possible IMHO. That would lead into Rebels perfectly. The Jedi th...

Would they really give Jason Isaacs, as captain, more of a secondary role?
Sure, why not? Secondary doesn't mean non-existent. Just because the show isn't centered around his exploits doesn't preclude him not being a big part of the happenings.
