Live-action: "Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett"

StarWars.com has announced a new Star Wars live-action series starring Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett; Boba Fett is back. And his story is just beginning. As teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the season finale of The Mandalorian, the legendary bounty hunter’s journey will continue in...

Re: Live-action: "The Mandalorian" (2019)

Holy Expletive Deleted! I just saw Episode 8 of Season 2, Chapter 16 "The Rescue," which I presume is the end of season two, and I have to say... That was pretty darned good! It wasn't without its problems (for example: Why do Super Duper Troopers resort to fists? I can think of things we've seen i...

Re: Rogue Squadron

Do we know the time period? Based on the logo I’m guessing ST time period.... It's set "in the future" according to Kennedy (fingers crossed that it'll ignore the ST). EDIT: It was mentioned in the announcement over at the Official Site as well: The story will introduce a new generation of starfigh...

Re: Last Movie Watched

Jane Eyre 1943, B&W, 97, 20th Century Fox, directed by Roger Stevenson. Starring Orson Welles and Joan Fontaine. Weird bit of soapy Gothic, from the Charlotte Brontë novel, which I have not read but assume is likewise Goth-y. Not my usual sort of thing, but it was the least objectionable alternativ...

I really think this should be placed much, much earlier in the timeline.

I also don't think Leslye Headland should be allowed anywhere near Star Wars.

I wasn’t blown away by the story arc in season 7 of TCW, but the trailer got me, Fennec Shand and the holo net announcement of Palpy declaring the first galactic empire. "The Institute" by Stephen King.

A more satisfying, though quite similar read, compared to "Firestarter".

Doc Martin , 3.3, "Love Thy Neighbor." Love that show! :) I've really been surprised by how good it is. I kept seeing it advertised in the "Previews" on another disc set I was watching, and tried it on a lark. Now I have the first six series on the shelf, adding an another series (or two) as I fini...

Love that show! :)

I'm currently rewatching the X-Files. I haven't rewatched the series since it originally aired in Sweden. Time hasn't been kind. I loved it back then but now I find it very goofy.

Re: Animated: The Bad Batch

It makes sense to make another animated series while the restrictions of COVID19 are in place. It is a show that can be work on in isolation. Disney need new material to keep people subscribing and delays to live action causes a need to think of other avenues. My concern is them using the same time...

Re: Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back

Random thought I had while watching this movie the other day: why did Luke not face any consequences for taking one of the Alliance's X-Wings to Dagobah without authorization and then losing it on Bespin? Luke was a hero and one of the most senior commanders of the Alliance. He would get away with ...

A totally pointless change intended for the never-released 3D version. The change only introduced continuity errors. The shot is also not static, but it pans.

Re: Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi

Sorry for the DP... I've been a stark defender of the Special Editions and later changes. However, I can't defend the latest changes made to ROTJ introduced in 2011. The door to Jabba's palace is just dumb and Vader's "Noooo" ruined the scene.

I've watched it thrice on Blu-Ray now. A deeply flawed, unimaginative and hollow movie. Not as bad as "The Last Moof-Milker" (Tesla!) but still very bad. The ST is devoid of imagination. There were many complaints about Lucas's use of CG to create environments, but as long as they're are made well a...

TPM has seen some reevaluation after the ST with some reviewers praising Lucas's worldbuilding (which the ST lacked). I got to admit that I've done so myself.

I'm curious Mags. If you say in your first list that it's really a tie between ESB and ROTS, then how does Rogue One split them in the second list (unless it's a three way tie)? I really had to ponder on that question... I really, really like Rogue One . It's the last (and probably only) really gre...
