Yet another desert planet? Whoopee...
Chistopher Eccleston once said when he was asked why Dr Who had a northern accent: "That every planet had a north.". It's the same with deserts, every planet has one.

Re: Benioff and Weiss to Create Series of Star Wars Movies

So Star Wars Theory just posted a video saying that Buzzfeed reported Laeta Kalogridis is finishing up an Old Republic Script..... :?: So if this is true, What is Benioff & Weiss working on? This IS true and came straight from Bob Iger: Variety The Laeta Kalogridis could be working on those movies,...

Re: Last Television Show Watched

Episode 5 of Game of Throne's final season. Whoo, boy. Its been worse with every episode. Not thrilled. Characters being moved around a chess board by writers who don't seem to know how to play chess. A clear sense of thinking from the end and just moving the characters there without much considera...

Very sad news of the passing of the actor Peter Mayhew who played Chewbacca on 30.04 at his home with his family around him. I had the pleasure of meeting twice. He was nice.We will miss the way he could give so much expression with his eyes and mannerisms while wearing a mask. and all that fur. :r...

Re: Last Television Show Watched

I'm currently rewatching Star Trek: Enterprise on Netflix. Somewhat flawed, but still an enormously much better Star Trek show than Discovery. I need to give it a watch from beginning to end. When it was on TV, I watched the first few episodes of season 1, then stopped, finding it to be more of the...

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

At the Episode IX panel, they clearly framed IX as the conclusion to the Skywalker saga. And Palpatine is the big bad of this Saga. A reveal like this, in that context, wouldn’t be done without a significant role for him. He’s alive. I believe that firmly. Whether he survived the fall, extended his...

The poll says "Star Wars Products," so I'm going with the new 8" Darth Vader Black Series Action Figure from Hasbro. Principal photography has finished and the wrap party has been held. Some of the cast has posted on Twitter if you want to see the party

Only 10 months (give or take a few days) to the movie's release.

Re: Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi

Yes, that's absolutely true. TFA also broke the rhyming by having a non-Skywalker destroy Starkiller Base (Droid Control Ship - Anakin, Death Star I - Luke, Starkiller Base - Poe). ROTJ broke this rhyming DS 2 by Lando and Wedge. No, it really didn't as it was the rhyming between the trilogies, not...

Re: Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi

JJ Abrams managed to rhyme to some degree, but the rhyming between the OT and the ST got shot out of the water with TLJ (that movie rhymes better with Spaceballs ). And as we've discussed in other threads, Abrams/Kasdan took it too far in TFA, too note-for-note and too intrinsic to the backbone of ...

Re: Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi

Caught a bit of ROTJ over the weekend, the scene on Endor where Vader and Luke are talking. Luke I think had his back turned and Vader ignited Luke's saber. I thought of the scene in ROTS where Palpatine has his back turned, asking "are you going to kill me?", when Anakin ignited his own saber. Not...

Re: Star Trek - From TOS to Discovery and Beyond

First episode ot Discovery season two has aired. Not tio bad a few major plot holes in canon. Why did Spok never mention Micheal at all? Yeah, I watched it last Friday. It was decent, but the pod travel sequence was way over the top. The second season will supposedly explain why he never mentioned ...
